Indigo Power’s electricity supply partner, Energy Locals, purchases and surrenders Certified Emission Reductions (CERs), recognised under the National Carbon Offset Standard (NCOS), on Indigo’s behalf. Energy Locals purchases CERs equal to the total amount of energy Indigo Power customers use each year. This makes all power supplied by Indigo Power Carbon Neutral.
After you sign up, you can access Indigo Power’s customer portal. This shows how much energy your household consumes monthly, daily or even half-hourly. If you have a solar system, you can also see how much power your system generates and exports. The portal shows how much electricity is generated and consumed by Indigo Power customers within a particular community energy hub (in our case, Kiewa Valley). It also shows, of that generation and consumption, how much occurs simultaneously.
